Our Founder's Story - Dr. M. Ruth Thomas

Born Again:  September 1976     

Ordained:   August 4, 1996    

Dr. Ruth was born again in 1976 and answered the call of God on her life in 1995 to ministry. She started Real Life Christian Ministries (RLCM) in her home and held fellowship there for three years. She served as what many call a Prophetic Pastor.

The Holy Spirit inspired Dr. Ruth to take early retirement in 2001 to start in full-time ministry. She had served at Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) in various capacities. She is a graduate of Rhema Bible Correspondence School, Chattanooga State Technical College, and Covenant College and holds an honorary doctorate from Christ Exalted Seminary. 

In 2011, Dr. Ruth answered the call of God to go deeper and higher in a way that He had not taken her previously. The Holy Spirit inspired her through Isaiah 53:1 to take the message of power to God’s remnant.  As a result, A Remnant Ministries (ARM) manifested.

She has a covenant relationship with the International Fellowship of Christian Churches (Bishop Neville Smith), Flames of Fire Ministries (Bishop Michael and Prophetess Gwen Leach), Refuge Ministries (Bishop Vincent Jones). 

She is the wife of Apostle James A. Thomas, whom she blessed with children and resulting grandchildren. Apostle James continues to serve at RLCM.

Dr. Ruth is committed to obeying the call of God in her life. As she ministers under the anointing, those who hear her experience the fire of the Holy Spirit, drawing them into the right relationship with God. It only takes a few moments of being around her that one experiences her love and passion for manifesting Christ. She will tell you it is not about her, but about the Spirit of God Who resides inside of her. Dr. Ruth’s motto is, “If God doesn’t go, I will not either.”  

Dr. Ruth believes that there are people on the earth who will walk in the revelation of the finished work of Christ, and as a result, she surrenders to God’s call to take His message of power to them.
